Japanese singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Ichiko Aoba is preparing a new album. luminescent organisms ” will be released on February 28th on her label Hermine. The lead single, “Luciferin”on sale today. Along with this news, Aoba announced a world tour in 2025. Aoba’s previous album was in the 2020s. windswept pandanusIt was conceived as the soundtrack for a fictional film about a girl who travels from her home to the fantastical island of Pandanus. “luminescent organisms was born from windswept pandanus” Aoba explained in a statement. “It started when I wondered what happened to the main character in the movie. windswept pandanus It disappeared along with the music of the island’s inhabitants. What will remain? ”
