San Diego Comic-Con The event is packed with surprises for fans, and this year fans were treated to a special unannounced screening in the San Diego Convention Center’s famous Hall H. Deadpool and Wolverine!
Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrindirector Shawn Levy President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige On Thursday, more than 6,500 people gathered at Comic-Con to watch the planned Deadpool and Wolverine The panel discussion was also scheduled to feature a special screening of the film itself.
“I’ve traveled all over the world for this movie,” Jackman told the excited audience. The Hollywood Reporter“But the best part is right now!”
The event started out as a standard Comic-Con panel, with guests and creators sharing memories of past Comic-Cons, but midway through, a surprise was announced that sent the audience into a frenzy of delight.
After the screening, an emotional Reynolds and Jackman shared messages of love and gratitude for one another, as well as to Levi and Feige for bringing this unlikely pairing to the big screen.
But to add to the surprise, they welcomed some special friends onto the stage for a spoiler-filled Comic-Con cameo.
Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes and Chris Evans join the star-studded cast of the epic action movie, out now, and it features a host of unexpected rumored celebrity appearances. It’s expected to have the biggest opening weekend ever for an R-rated movie.
One particular moment between Reynolds and Snipes was particularly noteworthy, as the two were famously at odds while working together. Blade TrinityTwenty years later, it appears they have managed to repair their working relationship and friendship.
The surprise screening came just hours after Reynolds, Jackman, Corwin, Evans and Levi were in Los Angeles with Feige for the Marvel Studios President’s Film Festival. Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony.
ET spoke with Feige at the star-studded ceremony.and he is a large Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“My work at Marvel has always been a dream come true — the highs, the lows and the highs,” said Feige, 51. “It’s a journey! And it’s a journey with all the people who are here with me today.”
When asked who his favorite of the many beloved Marvel characters is, Feige replied, “There are so many!”
“Just being here with Hugh today has been a great experience since my first audition. X-Men 1 25 years ago, at the opening of tonight Deadpool and Wolverine“He’s had an incredible journey,” Feige said. “I’m so grateful to have Chris Evans here with us today and what he’s done with Captain America. The First Avenger To EndgameI love them all.”
“And of course Tony Stark, and Robert [Downey Jr.] “That’s what I did with Jon Favreau,” he added.[They] It helped create and launch the entire MCU.”
Long-awaited Deadpool and Wolverine It will be released in theaters on Friday, July 27th.
