Angel Reese went into action on Saturday as the Chicago skies fought back against Dallas’ wings. However, this time she didn’t play rookie star Page Bookers, who was sidelined for concussion protocols. Reese started the game alongside Ariel Atkins, Camila Cardoso, Courtney Vanderroot and Nurses Kia.
Despite her usual fuss, Reese got off to a rough start. The forward struggled with her shooting touch in the first quarter, changing only one of her seven field goal attempts. While her aggression stood out, the misery of her continued shooting continued to hamper the aggressive rhythm of the sky.
Angel Reese’s struggle took over in the second quarter, where she missed both shot attempts and extended the scoring drought. Her offensive issues continued to affect the sky, but she was able to contribute in other areas of the game. But even on the board, which is usually one of her strengths, Reese wasn’t as dominant as usual.
At halftime, Sky Forward scored four points in one of nine shoots and two of two from the free throw line. She also added five rebounds, two assists and three steels while committing two turnovers.
