This recipe is a kind of two -step process. In the first part, we will introduce how to make a flavorful passion fruit syrup that can be stored in the refrigerator. Next, I will briefly explain the procedure to change this syrup to a refreshing passion fruit juice.

Passion fruit pulp 1 1/2 cup
Sugar 3/4 cup (Adjust)
4 ginger slices
1 lime (juice)
3 cups of water (For syrup)
1 tablespoon of mix essence.

For reference, I got a passion fruit pulp at a frozen corner of a local Asian supermarket. Most of the West Indian Islands and Latin -based grocery stores have it.

Add the pulp and sugar to a deep pot. Yes, you can use your favorite sweetener (Honey, Ryuzetsuan, rough sugar, etc.)

Next, add ginger slices, water, and 1/2 fruit juice.

Put the pot over medium heat. When a small foam begins to be seen at the outer edge, light the fire and leave it for 3 minutes, then turn off the stove and soak. Note! The ginger part was crushed to scratch it, and the flavor was further released.。

If it gets cold (Approximately 45 minutes)Filter and throw away everything except juice. Add the remaining 1/2 lime juice to complete the passion fruit syrup. Put it in a bottle and store it in the refrigerator to use it later.

To make passion fruit juice, add the same amount of cold water (Ratio of 50:50) With the mix essence (Find at a grocery store in the West Indian Islands) Stir well and mix. You may need to add more sweeteners as needed.

The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for more than 6 weeks, so be sure to stir before using it. If you use freshly picked passion fruit, you will need about one dozen pulp.
