Janelle Brown has quite the past with Meri Brown.
But she doesn’t have a real present.
And it doesn’t seem like she has a future.
For those who don’t know, Janelle was actually previously married to Meri’s brother.
“It was very, very short-lived,” Janelle told Kate Casey’s Reality Life Podcast this week about her 1988 wedding and her marriage to Adam Barber.
“We may have physically lived together, we may have actually lived together for six months. [It] I just couldn’t get it. ”
Adam and Janelle divorced in 1990 and had no children.
Years later, after Meri exchanged legal vows with Kody, Janelle and Meri were reunited, with Janelle becoming one of his spiritual spouses.
However, at the end of 2022, Janelle broke up with Kody.
Then, a few months later, Meri and Kody announced that their marriage had ended.
Meanwhile, during this podcast discussion, Janelle said that Meri distanced herself from the other Sister Wives long before her romance with Kody ended.
“She and Robyn were always very close,” Janelle told Casey about Meri and Kody’s only remaining wife. “So I don’t know if she was separated or not, but she and Cody were estranged for years.”
When the couple’s 29-year-old child, Leon Brown, who came out as transgender in June 2022, decided to leave the family, Meri became at peace. more Janelle said she has withdrawn from family life.
“I think she started to get more interested in things outside of the family when Leon left home and became an empty nester before we did,” Janelle continued. “Yes, because she had time.”
In the latest episode of Sister Wives, Janelle lashed out at her ex.
She called Kody selfish and self-centered and pointed out that he was an absentee father.
“The children all feel very alienated from you,” she explained to him on air. “There are a lot of nuances, and I can’t be in between.”
Kody takes no responsibility for the family’s disintegration.
“We used to go out as a family, and now the people who were my partners are like my enemies,” Kody said on the Sept. 29 episode of Sister Wives. “It’s awkward. I don’t know what the solution is.”
