At a press conference Thursday, House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-ny), said voters are fleeing Republicans in large numbers.
People are upset. People are worried, anxious, frightened, scared, all of the above. And you will see Democrat members across the country leading those emotions in different ways. But one thing is clear in elections. Republicans are running. They’re running. I saw it in Iowa in January.

I saw it in New York in February. I just saw it in Pennsylvania yesterday. Where Republicans should easily win, not just win. And that’s because there’s an energetic democratic foundation. And swing voters, along with independents, are abandoning Republicans across the United States.
Incidentally, that’s why Republicans actually spend millions of dollars on two Florida districts, with Donald Trump winning 30 points north. You do not use that language. It’s safe to say that Republicans are running around the country, and I’m fine with that.
Jeffries called out the media story when asked when people were seen democratic pushbacks.
