New York, April 25, 2025 – Grace Fu (Xuan Fu) is set to announce Ether Threadher debut collection from her personal brand, Studio Oblivion, is a name that has already inspired quiet respect among fashion insiders. As they shaped the visual language of major homes in both China and the US, Hu is now led by a quiet obsession and meditative crafts of loungewear, lace and embroidery.
“Ethereal Threads” is a contrasting study, with technical accuracy satisfying poetic designs. Inspired by her time at Fleur du Mal, Alix NYC and LVMH, this collection is based on a rich vocabulary of sensual minimalism, softness and refinement. These experiences have shaped the refined textures and silhouettes of the collection.
However, the Studio Oblivion lineage also carries much of Fu’s transformational role in Alexander Wang and Kiss. At Wang, she introduced bold cleaning designs and textile treatments that rethink the brand’s gender fluid collection. In 2024, she joined the kiss, revolutionizing men’s clothing tailoring with advanced techniques and material innovations. “Grace’s innovation drives us forward,” said Mikol Stambaud, Senior Vice President of Products at Kiss. Her creative leadership continues to define the evolution of the brand.
Made from premium Asian raw silk, decorated with French embroidery, each garment “Etheric Thread” Hand stitching is required for 20-40 hours. The work (lobe, lingerie, loungewear) attracts folded sensuality and quiet strength. Upcycled silk becomes a symbol of renewal and shapes clothing that evokes heritage and liberation.
The campaign was filmed at the Marlton Hotel in Greenwich Village. Natural light illuminated the sparkle of the embroidery, while turbulent hair and smoky makeup nodded to the sensuality of the 1990s. Each image was wrapped in nostalgia and a solution to women.
Studio Oblivion offers more than fashion. In “Etheric Threads,” Fu presents meditations on beauty, identity and self-expression. It is an invitation to dress not only your body but also your soul.
