Gold Day Pot Summary: Notre Dame offers several northeast outlooks
Monday was St. Patrick’s Day, and it was also Notre Dame A soccer programme where Fighting Irish celebrated the “Pot of Gold Day” by offering scholarships to nearly 100 prospects in the class of 2027.

Notre Dame provided several prospects in the northeast on Monday. Here’s their reaction, looking closely at each recruit.
Hiller is one of the most coveted offensive linemen of the 2027 class, checking in as a 2nd recruit in Pennsylvania, a sixth offensive tackle and a 76th overall outlook on the Rivals 250.
The Coatesville Area High School (Coatesville, PA) standout has already recruited around 30 scholarship offers, but the offer from Notre Dame was special to Hiller.
“This offer means a lot because of the office work and tradition at this school. And all of these coaches here are great and are beginning to develop a great relationship with Coach Freeman and (offensive line) coach (Joe) Rudolph,” Hiller told rivals after receiving the offer from Notre Dame.
He doesn’t have a date locked up yet, but he said he will “definitely” visit Notre Dame at some point this spring. Hiller is also planning a spring visit to other programs, but he has not yet fixed the schedule.
Another Rivals250 prospect, Kimble will check in as the 15th running back and the 191st overall recruit in the 2027 cycle.
The startailback at Canisius High School (Buffalo, NY) is grateful for Notre Dame’s offer and he will check out what Fighting Ireland has to offer firsthand later this month.
“I am extremely grateful for this offer, especially on St. Patrick’s Day,” Kimble said. “I’m going to get up on campus soon.”
In fact, Kimble was trapped on a visit to South Bend on March 29th. He will also visit Ohio April 5th and Texas April 12th. He plans to add several more schools to his travel plans, but he hasn’t locked them yet.
A new name for watching in the class of 2027, Lewis already has 20 scholarship offers from several Power 4 programs. Notre Dame offers are being paid attention.
“Man, it feels great to be offered by Notre Dame,” Lewis said. “That really makes your dream come true!”
Huguenot High School (Richmond, Virginia) athletes have not yet been valued by their rivals, but they could change soon.
Lewis has not visited yet, but he plans to travel to Notre Dame in Clemson, Ohio. Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina In the next few months.
Overall outlook of No. 161 in the 2027 cycle and No. 13 of No. 13 have already accumulated offers from Boston College, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, SyracuseWashington, etc.
Following Notre Dame’s offer on Monday, Rogers wants to learn more about Ireland.
“We look forward to being offered to a program that consistently sends players to the NFL, and we look forward to what we’re doing with the program in the future,” Rogers said of Notre Dame.
He has planned several trips to a school near his hometown in Springfield, Massachusetts, and hopes to add more schools later.
“As far as visits, I have mostly local stuff like Boston College. Syracuse, but I’m still looking forward to more in the future,” Rogers said.
Notre Dame also offered the 2027 Nickelback Xavier Sub class. He is currently the overall outlook at No. 167 in the Rivals250, ranked as No. 3 recruit in New Jersey and No. 8 nickel in the cycle.
Sub, who also plays basketball at Glassboro High School in New Jersey, has so far had around 30 scholarship offers in his name. It is included in the schools he has offered so far. Notre Dame made an offer to the All-American at “Pot of Gold Day” and threw a hat into the sub’s ring.
Smith has recently received an offer from Kentucky after seeing an increase in recruitment. Michigan, MissouriRutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, etc.
Notre Dame joined Smith’s mix on Monday, and he is building a relationship with offensive line coach Jourdorf and assistant offensive line coach Rob Delaney.
“When Coach Delaney offered me, I was very grateful,” Smith said. “I’ve spoken with coach Rudolf and Delaney before and we had a great conversation. I want to get up to Notre Dame and see what the school is really like.”
He is working on getting a Notre Dame Visit Set. In the meantime, Smith has been planning a trip from spring to Syracuse (March 22), Michigan (March 27), Pennsylvania (April 5), Ohio (April 11) and South Carolina (April 17).
The 6-foot-6, 260-pound Smith has not been valued by his rivals, but will be evaluated in the future.
One more interesting offer from “Pot of Gold Day” came when Notre Dame offered a four-star running back and a back-kémon spell for top 75 prospects.
The spell has been committed to Pennsylvania since August 2024, and a major factor in his decision to pledge to the Nittany Lions was his relationship with position coaches. Ja’juan Seider. The longtime PSU running back coach moved to Notre Dame this offseason to become the associate head coach and running back coach for Fighting Ireland.
McKeesport, Pennsylvania, remains in close contact with Sader, but for now its commitment to Pennsylvania is still solid.
“It’s a big time,” Spell told rivals about Notre Dame. “The connection between me and Coach Sader is amazing no matter the situation. I spoke to Coach Freeman. The energy and atmosphere he had on the phone was amazing. They want me to get up as quickly as possible and see how the program and campus look.
He plans to visit Notre Dame and Pennsylvania in the near future, but there are no dates yet.
Spell is the 74th overall prospect for Rivals250, and he is also ranked as the No. 1 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 5 player in the No. 5 cycle.
Whitehead is one of the top 30 prospects across the country, checking in at No. 29 of the nation. He is also ranked as the No. 1 player in Virginia and No. 4 Edge in the 2027 class.
Notre Dame is now involved after the Irish offered a pass rusher on Monday Lloyd C. Bird High School (Chesterfield, Virginia).
Already have additional offers from Maryland, Florida, Georgia North CarolinaPennsylvania, SMUSyracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia TechWest Virginia and several other competitions are highly competitive with the 6-foot-4, 215-pound edge defender.
The Seminoles, Nittany Lions, Volunteers and others have the attention of Whiteheads early, but the Fighting Irish are now a team moving forward.
