According to the Indian Bullion Association, domestic gold prices traded at Rs 95,280 on Monday.
According to the association, the fees in New Delhi were hovering around Rs 94,940 per gram. The price in Mumbai was slightly higher than the New Delhi rate of Rs 95,110. In Kolkata, the rate rose to Rs 94,980. While in Bengaluru, the rate was 95,180 Rs. The price was Rs 95,390, and Chennai continued to see the highest rate in the country.
Multi Commodity Exchange’s yellow metal futures price was trading 0.04% higher at Rs 95,032 on June 5th.
Gold prices crossed the $3,000 mark for the first time on March 14th. Since then, the yellow metal has been pulled back from record highs and extended the losses as bullishness cooled after a sparkling rally.
Still, gold has risen 25% this year, according to Bloomberg data, surpassing almost all major asset classes this month due to a surge in demand for safe assets amid President Donald Trump’s aggressive trade policy and escalating fears about the global economy.
