On “General Hospital,” it was revealed that Portia Robinson tampered with Heather Weber’s blood tests, and now the big question is whether Brad Cooper will take responsibility for Portia’s questionable but understandable actions.
General Hospital: Portia Robinson dumps Brad?
General Hospital fans know that Portia Robinson’s (Brooke Carr) motive was clear: Heather Webber (Allie Mills) planned to murder Trina Robinson (Tabiana Ali) with a poison needle. Though Heather is now free from Cobalt, longtime viewers know that her violent past predates her hip implant. As a fierce protector of her daughter, Portia had no intention of allowing Heather to escape justice.
This isn’t the first time Portia has taken extreme measures to protect Trina on General Hospital. When shady drug dealer Oz Haggerty (Max Fogno), who sold Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Paul) the phone used to make the infamous tape of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton), was in a coma, Portia took the risk of waking him up to get the information she needed to prove Trina’s innocence. Portia’s message was clear: keep your hands off her sweet daughter.
But now that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) is back at the lab, will Portia hold him accountable for his actions? Portia previously warned Terri Randolph (Cassandra James) that if Brad makes one mistake she’ll fire him. General Hospital spoilers suggest this may be a scapegoating ploy.
Rick Lansing (Rick Hurst), with Liz’s help, has already determined that something is wrong with Heather’s blood work. Further blood tests at an independent lab will provide evidence that someone at GH labs is up to no good. Brad’s history of tampering with tests and other wrongdoing makes him an easy target.
It’s worth noting that Brad had the means and motive to tamper with Heather’s testing; Heather killed Brad’s best friend, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), with a poison needle. If Portia asked Brad to rig the test, it’s likely that Brad did so for Britt. However, Portia acted alone and Brad may be held accountable for her actions.
General Hospital: Did it ruin Brad Cooper’s life?
General Hospital spoilers leave the question of whether there are security cameras in the lab that caught Portia in the act. If so, will she try to blame him if Brad confronts her? Portia may not care that she’s ruining Brad’s life and think she got away with it. Perhaps she thinks Brad is getting what he deserves because he’s a “bad person.”
But Portia’s deception, like Trina’s lie about her paternity, will come to light and she will have to face the consequences – she will only come clean when forced to, but this lie will likely come back to haunt her.
As for Brad, that’s unlikely. He will stay here He hasn’t been on General Hospital for a long time, and it’s possible he’s only returning for this storyline, and actor Parry Shen will probably be leaving again soon, despite being a fan favorite.
