The city council in Fort Myers, Florida, recently held a meeting to discuss collaboration with ICE on illegal immigration, with specific consideration given by community police.
Wink News Report:
The agreement would give police officers at Fort Myers the authority to question individuals suspected of being in the United States illegally and to dispose of an immigration violation if they are arrested for a crime.
Additionally, officers can arrest without a warrant if they believe someone is violating immigration law and are likely to flee before a warrant is obtained.
The vote was unsuccessful by a 3-3 tie, but the council people who opposed the work with Ice actually cried and held hands at the meeting.
America needs a strong leader right now. These are not strong people, this is pathetic. clock:
The Fort Myers City Council video conference didn’t approve the officers of an agreement with the ice, making it even more crazy.

This is absolutely unpleasant behavior for the city council. It just shows how useless these people are when they have to make tough decisions to start crying. How do these people operate or manage the city with this behavior?

Florida Phoenix I report that this problem is far from being resolved.
Florida AG threatens by removing Fort Myers City Council if they don’t cooperate with ice
Attorney General James Usmier is threatening three Fort Myers City Council members by resigning and threatening them after refusing to take part in immigration enforcement for police aides on Monday.
Uthmeier, who became Attorney General a month ago, warned the council that if city police questioned people about the immigration status and did not allow them to be detained, Gov. Ron Desantis could remove them from the office.
After hours of public testimony and debate, the Southwest Florida city council voted for a 3-3 deadlock on Monday, stopping city police from signing an agreement with the federal government to cooperate with immigration enforcement efforts…
“Unless the council’s actions are amended, all applicable civil and criminal penalties will be enforced, including, but not limited to, declarative or injunctive relief, and removal from the office by the Governor.”
This is not the council of the university campus, these people are in charge of the city. They should start behaving like that.
