In March 2024, Chelsea Lazcani filed for divorce from her husband, Jeff Lazcani.
Chelsea and Jeff have been married for seven years and have two children, Maddox, 5, and Melia, 3.
The following month, on April 2, Jeff Lazcani filed a formal response to her divorce petition. That’s the basics of Chelsea’s divorce timeline. But that’s not all.
In his divorce petition, Jeff requested ownership of the couple’s Manhattan Beach, California property.
April 4th, E! News Reported His personal tax return stated that he wanted sole control of the estate to protect his wealth.
He accused Chelsea of exhibiting “suspicious behavior and several of my possessions becoming missing or being moved to different locations” after she filed for divorce.
What is Chelsea Lazcani accused of doing in the lawsuit?
The most worrying thing is Selling Sunset The reason for the divorce is that Chelsea Lazcani has been accused of domestic violence.
Jeff Lazcani wrote that he tried to record her provoking him and speaking in a confrontational manner.
“In the past, [Chelsea] “She demonstrated the potential to become physically violent and aggressive,” the lawsuit alleges. “For example, approximately one year ago, [Chelsea] I got punched in the face, my glasses broke, and I got a small cut on the side of my face. I have never laid hands on anyone. [Chelsea] In a physically aggressive way.”
This is not the first time Selling Sunset The star’s name appeared in court documents in such serious and disturbing circumstances.
But it is an indictment on society, or on humanity, Selling Sunset.
And that doesn’t make the issue any less dire. Domestic violence is completely unacceptable. It’s hard to understand how people who claim to love each other can be so violent towards each other.
Still, Netflix is bringing Chelsea Lazcani (and presumably her divorce drama) to the forefront in Season 8, which means there will be even more attention on the breakup, which could lead fans to some very upsetting discoveries.
Or maybe not. It’s always possible that the producer knows something the rest of us don’t.
Selling Sunset Season 8, with all its divorce drama and more, will premiere on Netflix on September 6, and we’ll likely learn a lot more about the timeline of the breakup than court records reveal.
