Colombia is a beautiful country thanks to its scenery, people and birds!

Scrub Tanners, a common open country bird in the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador, are encountered most often in isolated pairs, but other species may join in fruit trees.

The velvet purple coronet, a beautiful, arrested hummingbird, is all dark in dark light, but its rainbow blue-purple body is absolutely dazzling when viewed well!

The striking blue-necked Tanaga features a vibrant blue or purple hood, a black back, a wide black chest band, and a greenish straw wing retreat.

Orange euphonias are usually found in pairs or small groups, and are usually fed relatively lower than the ground.

On slow, bumblebee-like flights, the Whiteberry wood star hoveres and allows you to carefully suck nectar from the territory other hummingbirds claim.

The 3-striped warbler is the target species on the second day of the tour, a trip to Boskedeniebla. This is a Barredelkaca nature reserve that is recognized for hosting species that are not so easy to observe and photograph.
