Thanks to our partnership with Cross-border entrepreneurship, Techstars ATL & NOLA, And at Kingston BETA, we are happy to announce that six startups and seven entrepreneurs from the Kingston BETA community have participated in the Techstars Accelerator and raised a combined $111 million in investor funding and convertible notes in the past 12 months.
Three Jamaican startups join prestigious Techstars Atlanta Accelerator
Melissa Powell (POCMI), Monique Powell (QuickCart), Raquel Seville (Dataffluent) We were selected for the highly competitive Techstars Atlanta Accelerator program.
Each startup will receive $120,000 in investment and convertible debt, as well as access to Techstars’ renowned global network of mentors, investors and resources to support their growth and scalability.
We will celebrate this by wrapping up our season kick-off event with them, where you can hear their stories and find out more about their digital businesses, details about the accelerator and what lies ahead for them.

That’s why our next Kingston BETA event will revolve around them, kicking off a new season. Tune in to learn more about their business, their accelerator journey so far, the challenges they’ve faced, and what’s next.
New ticket price.
We’ve increased our general ticket prices to JMD$2,000 | US$12. This is our second price increase in 17 years, and we think you’ll agree. We’ll also be adding VIP experiences soon, so stay tuned. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 19, 2024. The link will be published on all social media.
Start-up Phase
You know how it works: the application form is open to any early stage entrepreneur looking to solve a problem using technology. We will select the top three to present at Kgn BETA and allocate up to 5 minutes for their presentation.
