El Archibo del Este: Death Plaza Mientos Enros Imaginarios Dela Litera Tulakbana Contemporanea (Almenara 2025), by Irina Gerbatsky explores the symbolic displacements and meanings of Cuban literature referring to the landscapes and ratios of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Description (Almenara): El Archibo del Este [The Archive of the East] Addressing a special type of discussion that works in Cuban literature for centuries, between the symbolic displacements that accompany it. The reliance on topics, landscapes, references to Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union clarified the space of escape and diffusion that was close to modulation of Latin American archives marked by constitutive heterogeneity. This discursive constellations allowed us to rethink not only the connection between the nation and norms, but also the relationship between human place and writer’s power through writing.
