Digital Heart Health Company Eko Health has announced that UK clinicians can now purchase their Core 500 digital stethoscopes, EKO+ memberships and accessories via Eko’s website and Amazon UK.
EKO helps healthcare professionals identify and monitor cardiac and lung diseases with digital stethoscopes, patient and provider software, and AI-enabled analyses.
The Core 500 Digital Stethoscope supports face-to-face and remote care through integrated features such as AI insights, audio clarity, test recording, waveform visualization, and three-lead ECG. It also integrates with EKO’s mobile applications for data capture and sharing.
EKO+ memberships include AI-enabled detection of heart murmur, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia and tachycardia, bradycardia, and guided multipoint auscultation, recording and sharing, according to the company.
“Bringing EKO’s AI-powered technology directly to UK health professionals represents an exciting step towards expanding access to high-quality digital aid tools.” David Bakey, general manager of consumers at Eko Health, said in a statement.
“With Core 500, Eko+, and any accessories available from ekohealth.com, it’s easier than ever for providers to integrate advanced auscultative techniques into their practice.”
Bigger trends
2024, Eko Health We received FDA 510(k) clearance, an AI-enabled cardiac tool that helps early detection of low ejection fraction, a key indicator of heart failure. The Eko Low Ejjection Fraction Tool (ELEFT) allows providers to detect low ejection fractions in 15 seconds during regular testing using an EKO stethoscope.
ELEFT has been added to Eko’s Sensora Cardiac Early detection platform, which already includes several FDA-cleared algorithms for identifying AFIB and structural cardiac murmurs.
2022, Company RIt received a $2.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop machine learning algorithms to detect and classify pulmonary hypertension.
Small and Medium Enterprise Innovation Research (SBIR) The direct phase II grant went towards an algorithm that locates using phonological diagrams (PCGs) and ECG data collected by EKO stethoscopes. Pulmonary hypertensionOr hypertension affects the lung arteries and right side of the heart.
2022, Eko Health We underwent FDA 510(k) clearance of the algorithm to find and characterize cardiac murmurs in adult and pediatric patients.
Eko Murmur Analysis software is a machine learning algorithm that uses heart sounds, phonological diagrams, and ECG signals (when available) to detect tweets and determine the type of innocent heart tweets.
