Eeli Tolvanen scored twice, and Brandon Montour had goals and assists as Seattle Kraken beat the Visiting Vancouver Canucks 6-3 on Saturday night to raise hopes for the playoffs to flag.
Andre Burakovsky, Oliver Bjorkstrand and Matty Beniers also scored, with Shane Wright and Vince Dunn adding two assists to Kraken. Goaltender Joey Dudcord made 28 saves.
Pius Suter, Filip Chytil and Dakota Joshua scored for the Canucks. Kevin Lankinen stopped 18 of 23 shots.
Following 2-1, Kraken dominated the second term and scored three times.
Bjorkstrand tied it at 4:11, redirecting a shot of Montor from the blue line of Lankinen’s past.
The Canucks regained the lead at 8:05 with a 2-1 rushing match against Drew O’Connor.
Benil scored at 12:08, winning the showdown and fell a Vince Dunn shot from the left past Lankinen.
Tolvanen redirected Ryker Evans’ shot to the net from the left point at 13:08, giving Seattle a 4-3 lead towards the third season.
Montor scored on a slap shot from the top of the right face-off circle at the third 5:38, shortly after the power play ran out, making it 5-3.
Tolvanen settled the game with the empty Netter at 18:29.
Kraken first tallyed with a 3-2 rush at 5:47 in the first period. Wright lowered the puck to the left wing, sent a backhand pass over the slot and sent Barakovsky a timer inside the nearby post.
The Canucks tied it up at 11:35. Dan’s false clearing attempt from the corner went straight to Sator for a wrist shot from the left faceoff dot.
Vancouver took a 2-1 lead as a shot from Tyler Myers was blocked from the right point, but the pack fell to Chitil and lifted the shot over a vast dacord at 16:27.
