Donald Trump says Taylor Swift will ‘pay a price’ for endorsing Kamala Harris

Former US President Donald Trump has warned singer Taylor Swift for publicly endorsing rival Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

“I’ve never been a fan of Taylor Swift. There’s no way I would support Biden. But she’s a very liberal person. She always seems to support the Democrats and she’s probably going to pay a price for that in the marketplace,” Trump said in an interview on “Fox & Friends” after the debate with Harris.

Swift formally endorsed Harris for president shortly after the debate, criticizing Trump for previously using a fake image of her to suggest his endorsement.

President Trump said he likes Swift’s friend, Brittany Mahomes. Mahomes was at the center of a social media controversy and faced backlash after she “liked” an Instagram post by President Donald Trump outlining his policies for the 2024 presidential election. The August 13 Instagram post included President Trump’s stance on deporting “pro-Hamas extremists” and “removing men from women’s sports.” Mahomes then fired back with a cryptic post at trolls who took her “like” as support for President Trump’s controversial positions.

Brittany Mahomes is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is close friends with Swift’s boyfriend, teammate Travis Kelce. Swift and Brittany were seen hugging and getting cozy at the U.S. Open earlier this month, sparking controversy on social media as Brittany is a Trump supporter.
