They are two of the best singers on the planet.
They are each American Idol Champions.
Still… Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson were not the best friends at all.
But is that all? Are there simply no artists nearby? Or has there always been a rivalry between Clarkson and Underwood?

Recently there was a chat about feuds between superstars. Perhaps because Underwood faced technical difficulties during his performance in “American Beautiful” at the presidential inauguration in January.
By contrast, Clarkson knocked it out of the park completely when he sang at the Barack Obama inauguration in 2013.
Underwood also faced criticism for agreeing to a performance at the event honoring Donald Trump.
“I love our country and am honored to be asked to sing at the inauguration and be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood told People Magazine in response to backlash via a statement, adding earlier this year.
“I am humbled to answer the phone when we all have to come together in a spirit of unity and a look to the future.”

Many critics suspect that Clarkson accepted a similar invitation in the name of such a polarization commander.
“For years, fans have been speculating that she and Kelly Clarkson won’t get along,” the source has recently continued to contact Weekly, saying:
“Aside from the obvious, they’re both mommy and singers — they really don’t have much in common. They’ve never really connected as friends.”

Both American Idol Champions have disrespected comparisons in the past, along with tensions in the relationship.
In 2018, Clarkson tweeted, “We’ve won in life and are pretty blessed,” and Carrie replied, “Everything, girl, I voted for you!”
Fast forward to 2023 when Clarkson was a guest who watched what happens live with Andy Cohen, and this same topic was broached.
“There’s no beef between us,” Clarkson claimed in the air at the time. “There’s nothing between us. We don’t know each other well!”
