There is a strong belief among some conservatives that Barack Obama is secretly running the Biden administration behind the scenes.
Of course, in an age where the national media and the president’s closest associates kept his condition secret, it would be nearly impossible to prove that’s true.
But either way, Obama still has great influence and support within the Democratic Party, and his thoughts and words matter.
And reportedly, he had some not-so-nice things to say about Joe Biden.
Will Obama abandon Biden?
Democrats have been discussing the 2024 election with President Obama and Biden, at least according to CNN. The story is not good.
More than 10 congressmen and officials are in talks with Obama, who thinks it’s a “jobber.” The problem is, they don’t know what to do about it. All they know is that it’s over, and the only thing left is to wait and see how it ends.
What has been shocking, frankly, is that elected Democrats and a significant number of members of the media are actively calling for Democrats to step down, something that is unprecedented in my lifetime, especially a sitting Democratic president.
And it’s not just the House of Representatives: Pelosi is in on the movement, and current House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries is all over the place.
Moreover, President Obama was reportedly aware of Hollywood actor George Clooney’s shocking call for Biden to withdraw. Nothing deterred him..
Amazingly, Clooney reportedly called President Obama ahead of time to let him know.
It’s clear to the Biden campaign that if Obama is truly concerned about Biden’s ability to win the election, they should listen. Obama ran two near-flawless campaigns and made it look easy.
Biden hid during the campaign and let the media (and election rule changes) do their job.
More Democrats fleeing the sinking ship
We haven’t seen anything like this since 1968 (or 1972).
Here’s a list of all the Democrats who have called on Biden to step down so far:
- Representative Brittany Pettersen from Colorado
- Representative Eric Sorensen of Illinois
- Congressman Scott Peters of California
- Rep. Jim Himes of Connecticut
- Representative Greg Stannon of Arizona
- Hawaii State Representative Ed Case
- Representative Brad Schneider of Illinois
- Rep. Hillary Scholten of Michigan
- Congressman Earl Blumenauer from Oregon
- Congressman Pat Ryan of New York
- Congressman Mickey Sherrill of New Jersey
- Congressman Adam Smith from Washington
- Congressman Angie Craig of Minnesota
- Congressman Mike Quigley of Illinois
- Representative Seth Moulton of Massachusetts
- Congressman Raul Grijalva of Arizona
- Congressman Lloyd Doggett of Texas
- Vermont Senator Peter Welch
One thing is for sure: if (and I am being generous here) if Biden really can’t campaign, so it’s inconceivable that he would withdraw from the presidential race.
He needs to resign immediately.
If you can’t campaign, you can’t run a government. Period.
