abstract
I will explain Timogenes Pipanaco sp. november (Scorpionidae, Bosurilidae) From northwestern Argentina. This species is most similar to Timogenes haplochirus Maury & Roig Alsina 1977, both share a shallow internal excavation of the male palps thorax. It is the smallest known species of this genus with an average male body length of 33.3 mm, and is the only species of this genus with severely reduced beating organs. This species is apparently endemic to the arid Salar de Pipanaco in northwest Argentina and is active in the spring. This is the first species of the genus Timogenes Written 45 years later.
