Panic is beginning to set in within the Democratic Party as they realize that in addition to potentially losing control of the White House, they may also lose control of the Senate this fall.
If Republicans control the chamber, it would be a big help if Trump wins the presidency. Democrats know this and are very nervous.
Chuck Schumer will lose his role as majority leader. Isn’t that a shame?

‘This is bad’: Democrats panic as new poll shows Senate control slipping away
New poll numbers for Ohio and Wisconsin are very good news for Mitch McConnell and very bad news for Chuck Schumer. Democrats appear to be panicking as they see their chance of retaining the Senate majority slipping away.
In Ohio, Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown has been a consistent supporter of Republican rival Bernie Moreno. Red State reported last week that an RMG Research poll showed Moreno leading Brown by a margin of 48% to 46%. A new ActiVote poll confirms Moreno’s lead, with the new data showing him at 51.1% and Brown at 48.9%. That’s a pretty solid lead of more than 2 percentage points for the Republican challenger with just under five weeks until Election Day…
Democrats haven’t completely given up on Ohio, with a lot of outside money being spent in the state by PACs, but recent fundraising calls seem to confirm the party is hitting the panic button.
“This is terrible,” the Ohio Democratic Party said in a campaign fundraising email shortly after the poll results were released. “We can’t let Bernie Moreno get any more support than he already has, unless we want to keep the Senate on board.”
Of course, if Republicans control the Senate, Mitch McConnell should not be the majority leader. It’s time for someone else to take on that role.
