Wade Wilson / Deadpool Origin
After being discharged from the army, he decides to become a hitman. When things go wrong, he nearly drowns but is saved by a young couple, Wade and Mercedes Wilson. Legend has it that the mercenaries tried to steal Wade’s identity, but when the couple resisted, they ended up killing them to take Wade’s identity.
While on the job, Wade meets and falls in love with Vanessa Carlyle. When Wade refuses to eliminate one of his targets, she becomes a target for Wade’s employers. Wade’s life takes a turn for the worst when he is diagnosed with cancer. He abandons Vanessa and joins a program called Weapon X, where experiments not only cure him of cancer but also give him a healing factor. Wade was already a dangerous soldier due to his marksmanship and martial arts skills.
There were concerns that Wade’s powers were not up to par, and as a result he was sent to die peacefully in a place called Hospice. Everyone at the Hospice made bets on who would die first, which was called Deadpool. Wade decided to use Deadpool as his nickname.
Stories of life after hospice, friends, foes and family
Wade eventually escapes from the hospice, frees the others, and returns to his specialty: mercenary work. He rekindles his relationship with Vanessa, does work for the Kingpin, and even has an affair with Lady Death, angering the mad titan Thanos.
SHIELD recruited Wade for a shady, top-secret mission that would see him team up with the X-Men to confront Cable, and Nick Fury hired Wade to help him find a way to defeat the Skrulls, but the mission was a complete disaster when Norman Osborn intervened.
Wade soon learns of his daughter, Ellie, who is to marry Shikrah, Queen of the Undead, a love story that comes to a tragic end when she decides to invade Manhattan.
Wade eventually joins and funds the Avengers, but things take a turn for the worst when Wade kills Agent Phil Coulson and Agent Preston on the orders of an undercover agent who has infiltrated the team.
