Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports posted her video on Twitter/X today, talking about the White House meeting between Zelensky and Trump, which is attracting a lot of attention.
Portnoy takes a very fair and nuanced approach to the topic, but he ultimately sided with Trump, saying that American taxpayers will not “spell over” the issue of war in Ukraine.
As someone with 3.6 million followers on Twitter/X, Portnoy has a huge influence.

Dave Portnoy praised President Trump and Vice President JD Vance for how he handled the explosive clash with Ukrainian President Voldimi Zelensky at the White House on Friday.
The founder of Barstool’s Sports targeted Zelensky for more than seven minutes of rant on Saturday, but claimed he understood both sides of the conflict as he sympathized with the devastation that Ukraine had endured since the 2022 Russian invasion.
Portnoy compared the explosion to “Bravo TV” viewing, adding that it is the “most surreal” he has ever seen in politics…
“It’s not just about getting a Steamroll to Zelensky at the expense of completing the transaction. If that means you have to throw some flowers at Putin, then so too.”
Portnoy added that he was “offended” if, like Trump, the world leaders were unable to thank the “billions of dollars” that diverged to support the wars of other countries.

The left is responding with fear to the problems of Ukraine for completely predictable reasons. They simply take an anti-Trump position on everything. Portnoy’s analysis is much more consistent with reality and the views of millions of Americans hoping to end the war.
