Cuba lamented President Miguel Diaz Canelle’s Eduardo Sosa, suffering February 3rd on the death of the popular and well-known Troubadour, who was popular earlier this morning in Guantanamo, a victim of hemorrhagic stroke.

Born in the Mayali municipality in Santiago, Cuba, Sosa joined the movement of amateur artists from the age of 12, especially in the federation of university students and received numerous awards at Frank Peis Garcia’s Institute of Higher Education in Santiago. De Cuba, he graduated with a degree in music education.
He began his professional career in 1997. It quickly attracted critics and public attention because of its originality and artistic quality.
During this period he recorded two albums from Caribbean production and Emiodeon Spain, and participated in the Cuban fiction feature film Las Precias de Amanda directed by Pastor Vega.
Throughout his artistic career, he has received multiple awards including National Culture Distinguishment, Raul Gomez Garcia, Abel Santamaria, Alejo Carpenter Medal, and a replica of General Maxio Gomez’s machete.
In 2023 he was elected to represent the National Assembly of the National Assembly of the National Rights in the 10th Assembly.
At the recently famous 10th Parliament of the Cuban Writers and Artists Union, he was elected vice-president of the organization.
The quality of his work as a composer, his extraordinary talent as a performer, his deep Cuban identity and his solid commitment to revolution have led to the great fame he achieved among Cuban musicians. He gave him leadership and made him praise and valued the affection of his people.
As reported, by family decision, his body was cremated and after-death tributes were made to him at the cinema in Mayari, his hometown, and later at Casa de la Torova in Santiago de Cuba You will be paid.
His ashes accumulate in the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery in the city.
