Democrat donors want “the safest white boy” as presidential candidate in 2028, Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett told radio show Thursday.
“It’s this fear about people in the main system voting for women every time they vote for women, and I think it’s a natural fear.
“So there are a lot of people like, ‘What do you know? Let’s find the safest white boy we can find.’ ”

A rising star within the party, Crockett introduced himself late as a brand of Democratic fire, criticising Congressional leadership for not doing enough to blunt the Trump administration. The Texas representative recently fired fire on behalf of the highly progressive Democrats for a statement interpreted as ock-laughing at Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s obstacles.
Crockett suggested that she has firsthand knowledge of which candidate donors are lined up behind.
“When we talk about ‘thems,’ I can tell you there are certain candidates. I had donors on the phone and said all donors were lined up behind the candidates,” she said.
“I can say that I’m neither black nor female.”

It is unclear who Crockett refers to, but white male Democrats who fit her descriptions, such as Kentucky Gov. Andy Besher and Illinois Gov. JB Pretzker, have recently raised public profiles at fundraising events.
