Former FBI director James Comey has deleted an Instagram post that appears to be asking for the assassination of President Trump.
James Comey posted a mysterious message on his Instagram account, which was registered on “86 47,” spelled in shells on Thursday
“The formation of cool shells on my beach walk,” Comey said in the caption.

Comey deleted the post after a massive backlash and updated it with incredible comments.
“I posted some photos of some shells I saw on my beach walk before, and I thought this was a political message, and I didn’t link those numbers to violence.
So Comey expects the public to believe that the former FBI director didn’t know what “86” means.
Update: The White House responds to Comey’s social media posts, calling it “what can be clearly interpreted as a ‘hit’ of a sitting president in the US.”
“This is deeply concerned by all of us and is being taken seriously.”
The FBI is also aware of Comey’s Instagram posts.
While President Trump is currently on an international trip to the Middle East, the former FBI director has made clear what can be clearly interpreted as a “hit” in a sitting president of the US, or a message etched in the sand.
