“He’s, dare I say it, playing MVP-caliber here in the first round,” a beaming Cone said after his team’s 110-101 win over Phoenix at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
“He’s been very consistent throughout this first round. He’s getting into position well, we’re finding him, taking advantage of mismatches on the court. He’s playing great.”

Entrusted to be the team’s go-to man in the paint following the departure of Christian Standhardinger, Aguilar is entering his 14th season in the league and appears to have found the fountain of youth, recapturing his prime.
“I’ve never seen a player with Japeth’s athleticism at 37 years old,” Cone said.
“He’s still an incredible athlete. To be able to play at that athletic level at 37 is just a miracle.”
