CNN data analyst Harry Enten has warned Kamala Harris’ campaign about support from union households, saying she is having the “worst Democratic performance in a generation.”
The Teamsters union has refused to endorse this year’s presidential candidate, even though an overwhelming majority of its members support Donald Trump.
Enten suggests that President Trump has made significant gains among workers. The reason should be obvious to everyone.

Harry Enten, CNN: Sometimes there are data points that jump off the screen and should set off the sirens. Okay, this is a union household and this is Democratic support in the presidential election. It’s not what it used to be.
Back in 1992, Bill Clinton won the union vote by 30 points. In 2016, Hillary Clinton won by just 12 points. This was the worst performance for a Democratic Party since Mondale v. Reagan in 1984. But look at the current situation with Kamala Harris. She leads by just nine points. It would be the worst performance for Democrats in a generation. Of course, this is 10 points short of the standard of Joe Biden, who won four years ago as a unionist-like “Union Joe.” He won by 19 points. She’s 10 points off his standards, the worst in a generation if this is actually the case…
People who use their hands. I think a lot of people often confuse union voting with manual voting. Mike Rowe, of course, has argued that more people should attend trade schools and that more people should earn vocational degrees. Look at this blank space. To me, what does this say about the state of politics in the early 1990s and now? Gap between trade and technical school graduates in pre-election polls: Bill Clinton leads George H.W. Bush by 7 points. Look at Donald Trump’s 31 point lead over Kamala Harris today.
When we think of the working class, we think of people who use their hands. And we know that Donald Trump is gunning for that vote and is in a very strong position, probably more than any other bloc.
Watch the video below.
President Trump has more working-class support than any other Republican presidential candidate of his generation. He is on track to achieve his best performance among union voters in 40 years. He is up 31 points among vocational school graduates.

Working people pay the bills in this country, and that has been taken for granted for far too long. It’s no wonder why so many of them support Trump.
