Returning to the classic Earth911 podcast conversation, and back to the conversation about how market competition can move past the idea of ownership as exclusive control of resources. As our guests, Frank DarrenI wrote in his book, Decarbonize the world: Solve the climate crisis while improving the profits of your business“This is the problem. We are all part of the same planet. We all live in the same closed environment. We all have the same atmosphere. We all breathe the same air.” Frank joins us today to discuss how businesses and regulators need to rethink their approach to the market in order to recognize our shared resources and reverse global warming. Frank is also president and CEO of Telemark, a construction company that pioneered green building practices and helped to implement the Green Building Standard in New York.

Frank has developed an international carbon equivalent mechanism due to neutrality (Iceman) methodology to explain the carbon impact of products, buildings and food. Ultimately, the Iceman system provides carbon factor index scores that can be placed in product or service offerings, making it easier for anyone to make informed and sustainable choices. We’ll explain how carbon scoring systems are introduced and what it can explain with easy-to-use consumer labeling. With Frank Decarbonize the world in Frankalene.com.
