A video currently going viral on social media shows a girl approaching an older man in a store, thinking he is Santa Claus.
The man has a beard and wears a dark red shirt, so it’s easy to see how the girl came to this conclusion.
What’s great about this movie is that the men are playing with the girls instead of ignoring them. The mother who recorded the incident can be heard in the background telling her daughter to let Santa know what she will have for him on Christmas Eve. It’s all very moving.
This actually happened in West Virginia in 2015, but the video is now being shared widely in the run-up to Christmas. The message of this story is timeless.
WJTV reported Back in 2015:
A man is mistaken for Santa and plays with him while shopping
If you see a man with a white beard and a red shirt in December, it must be Santa Claus, right?
Sophie Jo Riley encountered “Santa” at a Walmart in Hurricane, West Virginia, or so she thought.
She saw Roger Lark’s white beard and red shirt and struck up a conversation with “Santa.”
Lark played along with Riley’s mother recording it on her cell phone.
The two talked about her Christmas tree and how she would leave him cookies.
Watch the video. This is great:

The kindness this man shows to the girl is the very spirit of Christmas. America needs more of this.
