Strong Santa Ana winds continued to blow through Los Angeles County on Wednesday, with the death toll from the wildfires still raging at just 25 and efforts to extinguish the fires difficult.

A red flag warning and “particularly dangerous conditions” remain in place until midday, with parts of the region at “high risk of large-scale fires.”

Local authorities urged the more than 90,000 residents to remain vigilant and heed evacuation warnings.

“We ask everyone to remain vigilant. The combination of low humidity and strong winds is causing brush to become drier and increasing the fire risk,” Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone said at a morning news conference. I appealed.

The region’s largest fires, the Palisades and Eaton fires, are now among the most destructive in Southern California history. Despite the weather conditions, significant progress has been made over the past few days.

The league announced Wednesday that the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the Charlotte Hornets will be held on Feb. 19.

The Hornets’ visit to the Los Angeles Clippers was originally scheduled for January 11th, but has been moved to March 16th. Additionally, the Hawks’ home game against the Houston Texans is scheduled for January 28th.
