Emma Raducanu failed to secure a wildcard into the Cincinnati Open, but Katie Boulter, Jack Draper and Cameron Norrie were all given favourable draws at the tournament, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Tennis.
Raducanu is Washington Mubadala City Open quarterfinals before losing to eventual champion Paolo Badosa.
The former U.S. Open champion was relying on a main-draw wild card for Cincinnati, which organizers awarded to Caroline Wozniacki, Bianca Andreescu, Peyton Stearns and Caroline Dolehyde. The tournament runs from August 12-19. Sky Sports Tennis and Sky Sports+.
The 21-year-old will likely arrive in New York without having played in Toronto or Cincinnati.
The British number one ranked bowler will face Poland’s Magda Linett in her first match and could face either Lyudmila Samsonova or Wang Xiyu in the second round.
Draper and Norrie will both play in qualifying following Saturday’s draw, with the 22-year-old facing a possible match against ninth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas if they both advance, while Norrie could face Polish big-hitter Hubert Hurkacz.
Carlos Alcaraz will return to hard courts to face either Gael Monfils or Alexei Popyrin. The 21-year-old Alcaraz, a French Open and Wimbledon champion, is seeded to face Holger Run in the third round, while the Danish player will face Matteo Berrettini in the first round.
Top seed Jannik Sinner will face either Tallon Griekspoor or a qualifier in his opening match, with Alexander Zverev a likely semi-final opponent for the Italian.
On the women’s side, Coco Gauff will be looking to defend the titles she won as part of last season’s summer breakthrough after claiming her first WTA 500 title in Washington and her first Grand Slam title at the U.S. Open.
Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Jelena Rybakina and Jasmine Paolini will all be looking to reach their first final in Cincinnati.
The ATP/WTA 1000 hard court tournament begins on Monday, with both finals taking place on Monday, August 19th.
