Firearms registered to notorious police killer Christopher Dorner The watch, worth $1 million, was discovered during the arrest of two suspects in an armed robbery… and shockingly, Dorner had been dead for over a decade.
Beverly Hills Police officers found a handgun registered to Dorner when they searched the suspect’s Airbnb Saturday morning, according to Los Angeles prosecutors.
The gun, a Glock 21 .45-caliber handgun, was loaded and hidden inside a pillowcase when police found it during a search, prosecutors said. Authorities also released a photo that allegedly shows one of the suspects holding the gun.
Dorner, of course, is the notorious former LAPD officer accused of killing four people, including a police officer, in 2013, a case that sparked a nine-day manhunt. Ends with Dorner’s death It happened after a violent shootout with police at a remote cabin in Big Bear, California.
Prosecutors said the gun was used last week when two South American nationals robbed a man at gunpoint of a Patek Philippe watch worth $1 million as he was having dinner with his wife and two daughters on the patio of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
It’s unclear how the men obtained the guns registered to Dorner, but prosecutors say police tracked down the suspects, arrested them and found the weapons when they executed a search warrant.
The prosecutor was 21 years old. Jamar Mauricio Sepulveda He is charged with one count of obstruction of commerce by robbery (Hobbs Act) and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Jesus Eduardo Padron He is charged with one count of Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy.
If convicted on all charges, Sepulveda faces up to life in federal prison, while Padron faces up to 20 years in prison.
