Democratic Sen. Chris Coons openly wept on national television while discussing the news that President Joe Biden had abandoned his reelection campaign.
Coons, R-Delaware, couldn’t contain his emotions while offering his analysis on CBS News Sunday afternoon, and it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
“He is rooted in faith, family and our state,” he said, glancing off-screen and blinking frequently to fight the oncoming flood of accusations.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry,” he continued, visibly fighting back tears and losing the battle. “This was a very difficult decision, and I think this reflects the best of Joe Biden.”
As co-chair of the Biden-Harris campaign, Coons is one of the president’s staunchest supporters.
But the tears seem unnatural. Being so close to this man means he’s known about Biden’s declining cognitive abilities for some time. And yet he continues to say Biden is capable of running the country for another four years?
Look at this mess…

Chris Kuhn wasn’t the only one.
Liberal outrage wasn’t limited to Senator Chris Coons’ inability to contain his tears. CNN’s Van Jones was next, likening Biden’s withdrawal announcement to taking away your keys from a beloved grandfather.
“He keeps resisting and everybody gets annoyed and then finally he gets his keys back and then he just cries,” he said.
“You just cry because it’s someone you love, someone you care about,” Jones added. “Someone who was there for you. Without him, you wouldn’t be here.”
Eh? To be honest, many people I wouldn’t be here without him. Let’s start with the 13 service members who died in Afghanistan, then think about all the Americans killed by illegal immigrants and the fentanyl crisis.
Have Mr. Kuhn or Mr. Jones ever shed a tear for these people?
It’s disgraceful for Van Jones to cry about Joe Biden.
Biden has destroyed our economy, abandoned our borders, and escalated our wars.

I should have picked up the keys a while ago.
Unfortunately for the country and the world, people weren’t fighting to take the keys away from Joe. He was running the country, reportedly.
They were trying to get the keys to the nuclear football, which, by the way, he’s still in command of. Biden just stepped away from the campaign trail. He’s still the commander in chief.
The left’s outrage continued with former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who also struggled to maintain composure.
Not a single one of these people shed a tear just a few days ago when Donald Trump was nearly decapitated by a sniper. Now they are crying not for America, but for the possibility of losing power.
