The violent confrontation between the former NFL star and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office occurred on Nov. 27 of last year, after authorities attempted to transport Jones to a medical facility in Arizona following a court-ordered mental health complaint.
Body camera footage from responding officers shows them initially having difficulty removing and speaking with Jones from the Arizona mansion, but after speaking with a woman who knew Jones outside the home, Chandler emerged from the garage wearing only his underwear.
Jones rambled on for several minutes to officers about a woman in his driveway and claiming that the woman’s dog had bitten him. When asked if he wanted to press charges, Jones declined. After a short while, he began to cry.
He tearfully told police he didn’t want to cause her any trouble, but his demeanor changed when one of the officers tried to talk to him about people expressing concern for his safety.
Jones can be heard on the video telling officers, “Get out, get out,” the two-time All-Pro then ran back inside the building.

Chandler seemed unable to make contact with Jones and after a few more minutes of pacing back and forth outside his residence, one of the officers told him, “Mr. Jones, we need to talk about why we’re here right now.”
Jones then appeared to try to run, and a scuffle ensued. Officers and Chandler struggled briefly on the ground before eventually handcuffing the former pass rusher and telling him they were taking him to a doctor under a court order.
But at one point, Chandler asked if he could call someone and the officer allowed him to use the iPad. Chandler initially tried to call Brady, his former teammate in New England, but the quarterback didn’t seem to pick up the phone.
Chandler was able to call one of his agents a short time later, and the officers explained they were taking Chandler away, and when Chandler said he didn’t want to go again, he mentioned the former Raiders head coach’s name. Josh McDaniels“Yes,” he replied.
After a few more minutes of back and forth, Chandler finally stood up and walked with officers to a patrol car, where he was transported to a nearby psychiatric hospital “without further incident,” according to police documents obtained by Us.
