Many Catholics have worn a brown scapular at some point in their lives. Some of those guys have stopped wearing it for whatever reason. Others continue to wear it, perhaps not realizing its true depth as a sign of consecration to Mary. Even less well known is the fact that the Scapular is a miniature version of the Carmelite custom (which is itself a Virgin Mary custom).
