For many who have never been to Spain, the only image of the country may be the strange spire of the La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, designed by Antoni Gaudi. Despite being unfinished, it is the most famous building in Spain, and construction began in 1882! Certainly, Gaudi knew that the building would not be complete in his lifetime, but he said, “My client is in no hurry,” and was peaceful with this. He is an ascetic with a deep commitment to the holy family and there is an ongoing cause of his bliss, in which my guests are involved.
