Tolkin is well known that he is interested in his fictional world, from geography to history and language. But he was also interested in another kind of consistency. Moditical consistency between his work and reality, as well as in the work (because he did not consider it as a real alternative). Students discuss the nature of Tolkin’s metaphysics. Jonathan S. McKintosh argues that St. Thomas Aquinas’s thoughts provide the most fruitful metaphysical lens to examine China.
