Carly Pierce I remember every little thing about those first hangouts Kelsey Ballerini.
“I met Kelsey at the female artist songwriter support group,” Pierce, 34, said exclusively. US every week Before you play on NBC Opry 100: Live Celebration. “It sounds so crazy, but we were both young, aspiring singer-songwriters who found the community because someone thought there was a need to have a women’s community in Nashville.”
Pierce remembers to “jealous” the 31-year-old Ballerini a bit, but after winning a record deal, the pair formed a trustworthy bond that stood the test of time.
“I think the vulnerability and integrity we both still cultivated friendships because she had her first hit single, for the two of us who were continuing, made me think she would take me on the road with her,” Pierce recalled. We. “She posted about my music and once got me on a tour bus because she was driving a 12-seater van and wasn’t sleeping for the show.”
Recently, Pierce and Ballerini have both won safe record deals, and are closer than ever as they are members of Grand Ole Opry and continue to live out their musical dreams.
In an industry where it can be competitive, the “We Don’t Fight anymore” singer is grateful that she found an amazing friend early on her journey.

“We really support each other, talk to each other, cry each other, and we vent each other,” Pierce explained about her bond with Ballerini. “She’s a best friend, so I’m so lucky that I’ve come to literally look at her stars and she’s watching my excitement and flowers, so it’s fun to do things with friends who understand what you’re thinking.”
