The California Assembly has passed a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to access the state’s $150,000, 0 down payment, 0 interest mortgage “loans.” The bill now goes to the governor’s desk, who has until the end of September to veto or approve the bill.

“Democrats’ unsustainable economic policies have left generations of Californians unable to afford to buy a home in their hometown,” California Senate Minority Leader Brian W. Jones (R-San Diego) said in a statement urging California Governor Gavin Newsom to veto the bill. “Not only is this policy unfair, it sends a dangerous message: Come to California, legal or illegal, and apply for a $150,000 mortgage.”
