Long Beach, California – Keawe Browne had several offers, but the Corona Centennial Showcase happened and his recruitment went to space.
The four stars expected to play tight ends in college have at least 16 offers.
Brown is versatile as he moves well, has excellent hands and plays both receivers, tight ends and defensive ends at all 6 feet and 230 pounds.
And now, a lot of top teams want him.
“That’s all I can ask for,” Brown said. “I worked to get to where I was supposed to be. That was my dream since I started playing soccer in my first year.
“It was exciting.”
Brown has been shot by the national scene in recent weeks after playing the defensive end early in his career, playing H-Back, moving to receivers and planning to go both paths in his senior season with Corona Centennial.
“Since the showcase, I’ve taken it up like seven offers. I’m still in school and they’re going to see me practice,” Brown said. “It’s exciting and I’m going to keep playing and keep working.”
Things are happening very quickly, but USC is definitely the school he sees a lot.
“USC is USC,” Brown said. “Everyone knows the name. I like them. It would be cool to play for my hometown.
“They like what they’re watching and say they’ve only got two tight ends this year. No one has committed yet.
Oregon is a dream school that grew up, and the ducks are in touch, but not yet offered. But it becomes something to see.
“They came to the DB coach this week and said they would hit me soon,” Brown said.
Like many others.
