A few months later, Kosar was hospitalized for several days after flying to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl and continued to suffer side effects from liver disease, admitting that he “nearly died” three months earlier.
“I had sepsis from E. coli,” Kosar said, “and heart disease. And I really thought I needed a liver transplant right away. I was just not feeling well.”
In addition to his liver disease, Kosar said he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease that month by an independent NFL doctor.
But Kosar is now placing a lot of emphasis on his body, and doctors say his test results are improving.
Despite all of this, Kosar says he remains positive and visualizes himself in good health.
