Favre heaped praise on his former teammate ahead of New York’s season opener against the San Francisco 49ers, explaining that he truly believes the future Hall of Famer is still “arguably the best playmaker in basketball right now.”
Favre said whatever happens around Aaron, he’s able to fix it, something New York teams have historically struggled with over the years.
“For lack of a better word,” the former quarterback said, “he can make chicken salad out of chicken poop in no time.”
Of course, the big question is whether Rodgers can stay healthy. After all, he only played in a handful of games last season. Achilles is exhausted.
But the 40-year-old quarterback told media last week that he feels healthy and expects to have a “great run” in 2024.
Rodgers has just a few hours until he gets his chance to prove himself with Monday Night Football kickoff in Northern California scheduled for 5:15 p.m. PST.
