Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) +4.4% The company made the announcement after the market closed on Tuesday after announcing it would offer Bloom Energy server power solutions with electrical efficiency of approximately 60%, the highest electrical efficiency demonstrated on a solid oxide fuel cell platform when using 100% hydrogen.
Bloom (BE) said The groundbreaking electrical efficiency of 60% will help broaden the adoption of hydrogen as a fuel source, and blending hydrogen with natural gas will reduce carbon emissions while providing future fuel flexibility as the hydrogen economy develops.
“With our world-class efficiency electrolyzers and Bloom Energy’s fuel cell technology capable of running on a blend of natural gas and hydrogen, this achievement further strengthens our leadership position in the hydrogen industry,” said Ravi Prashar, Chief Technology Officer at Bloom (Belgium).
The company says its engineers achieved the efficiency breakthrough at its research and development facility in Fremont, California.
