Edward “Big Ball” Colistine was one of the first young engineers, brought to Elon Musk’s so-called Government Efficiency Office (DOGE) and returned to the government shortly after resigning.

“Edward Coristine joined the Social Security Agency this week as a special employee of the government,” SSA spokesman Stephen McGraw told Wired. “His work will focus on improving the functionality of the Social Security website and promoting our mission to provide Americans with more efficient services.”

SSA sources have told Wired that Coristine came directly to work on site at Woodlawn, an agency at Maryland headquarters. One SSA employee says he saw Doge engineers Aram Moghaddassi and Coristine, who are current X and former Neuralink employees. The pair was recently discovered at the SSA cafeteria on Monday, but it is unknown that Coristine’s employment officially began this week. “Colistine looks nervous and is almost embarrassing,” an SSA source said. “Alam was on the phone with someone… and he said, ‘Yes, I’m with him now.’

Coristine and Moghaddassi did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Coristine’s rehiring comes after White House officials told Wired Tuesday that the 19-year-old had resigned from his government position. Trump administration officials will be wired to confirm that Coristine actually resigned on Monday, and then brought back by the SSA later in the week.

Coristine became a full-time civil servant at the General Services Administration (GSA) on May 30, and was reported by Wired earlier this month to translate from a special government employee classification with a 130-day limit limit. As of Tuesday afternoon, Coristine’s Google Workspace account with GSA had been disabled and his name was not listed on the list of federally paid DOGE employees maintained by senior management officials. The GSA did not respond to multiple requests for comments.

Coristine was one of a handful of Doge engineers who worked in many government agencies, including the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Health and Human Services, the US Agency for International Development, the Department of State and Homeland Security. Coristine is not known to have previously worked at SSA.

Coristine is a 19-year-old high school graduate who worked at Musk’s Neuralink for several months and won the handle “Big Balls” online and joined the government without prior experience. He also started a company called Tesla.sexy LLC in 2021 and worked for a startup known for hiring Blackhat Hackers. He was It is reportedly He was fired after suspected leaking of internal information.

Sahil Lavingia, a former Doji member who was first identified in the Veterans Affairs Bureau, “I felt like there was no real connection other than Elon in the White House,” Wire said. Speaking about the Paralysis Conference with Mask in March, Lavingia said, “The only person in the White House is Katie Miller.” Miller left the White House with Musk and now works at Centibillionaire.

Richard Pierce, a law professor at George Washington University, told Wired that the White House, unaware that the recently deceased employee had been rehired, “it’s unusual, but it appears normal for this administration.”
