It will be tough to shake up the Mercury’s defense of Kaalia Copper, but with a home crowd and an opponent featuring Clark’s childhood idol, Diana Taurasi, I expect Clark to be up for the challenge.

Crochette has a team-managed injury history and needed 93 pitches to pitch four innings in Saturday’s indecisive game at Miami. He struck out five in that outing, just two more than his season low. Major league strikeout leaders are expected to bounce back here, but Crochette’s strikeout numbers should only increase slightly given his health in the second half of the season.
