As the NBA is taking a break today, you can place your bet on the best MLB bet of the day. But what is the “best MLB bet”? After digging deep into the slate of the day, I have some ideas about it.
Here is my list of the best MLB bets for Monday, May 19th.
The Chicago Cubs vs. Miami Marlins
If you look at the preview, look at one starting pitcher with a 4.75 ERA (Ben Brown, Cubs), look at another starting pitcher with a 5.52 ERA (Edward Cabrera), then perhaps the following is the last thing you think of.
In his last two starts, Cabrera gave up two runs (vs. A) and one (vs. White Sox) in five innings and five innings. Brown gave up two (Miami vs Miami) and three (San Francisco vs.), but has pitched better on the road at home this season.
Brown had a 1.59 ERA on the road and did not give up on his run in the start of his last two roads (6 innings each).
Last week, the Cubs hit a .266 and the Marlins hit a .256. Cabrera has been doing well with a recent start, and Brown has been fantastic on the road. They keep things in control while they are in the game. But we don’t know what will happen after they’re pulled.

Baltimore Oriole vs. Milwaukee Brewers
The brewer hit just .189 last week, scoring 14 runs in the final six games combined. You should be facing Dean Kremer (ERA 5.36 ERA), but you should give them a boost, but not how badly they are being hit.
Baltimore hits a respectable .252, but averaged less than four times per game. The Quinpriest era is on the high side at 4.59, but he pitched very well on the last two outings, giving up one run each.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Colorado Rockies
The pitching matchups in this show all of that. Philadelphia is set to launch Cristopher Sánchez, 2-1 with three starts at the 1.88 ERA. Colorado is set to launch 0-3 Kyle Freeland with four starts at home at the 9.77 ERA.
I don’t think I’ll come to the rescue because the Colorado pen has an ERA of 4.20.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Here are two teams that have been hitting the ball very well last week. The Dodgers hit the .313 and Diamondback hit the .303. Brandon Pfaadt held the Dodgers scoreless with its start at home on May 8th, but Pfaadt was in top condition at home.
On the road, he is 2-2 with an ERA 6.64 and the team is hitting .302 against him. Dodgers starter Landonnack is in the worst condition at home (7.00 ERA at 0-1). The team is hitting .297 against him at home.
To put it mildly, if your final score doesn’t exceed 9.5, that’s surprising.
