Our Pennsylvanian readers have been waiting for months to hear the news. Senator Bernie Sanders will soon bring his fighting oligarchy tour to Keystone State.
Sanders announced:
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) announced a new stop today on the next swing of his combat oligarchy tour. Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA.) will meet with Senators in Pennsylvania’s 7th and 10th Congressional Districts. Sanders will also be attending the May Day event in Philadelphia on Thursday, May 1st at the city’s AFL-CIO branch.
Harrisburg and Bethlehem are both competitive districts currently being held by Republicans. In the 2024 election, Republican Scott Perry held Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District narrowly, winning by a margin of about 1.26%. Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania’s 7th District, Republican Ryan McKenzie has escaped from her incumbent Democrats, leaving her around 1%. Both races were the most competitive in the state.
Rep. Scott Perry is known for never keeping City Hall to meet his members, and he is the sole member of the council. It is directly related to Trump’s attempt to overthrow the government in 2020.
Senator Sanders said:
Let me be very clear: the move we’re building is straining Republicans. When Elon Musk laughs at our rally and Donald Trump lies about our crowd, you know we’re on the nerves. Last week, four GOP members from the district we visited came out against a deep Medicaid cut. Their statements have not progressed well, but it shows that grassroots pressure is working. And four votes are enough to stop the house cuts.
But this is more than a gathering. They hired organizers, led virtual training and put pressure on council members in their offices. And now we are helping everyday workers step up to run for office at all levels. Because that’s how we build governments that work for all of us, not just for our billionaires classes.

House Republicans have already sunk under the weight of Trump’s failure, and a successful inversion of two Pennsylvania house sheets would put a major risk to the GOP majority.
