Batman’s Arkham-focused TV spinoff put on hold

Before Robert Pattinson puts on the cowl in the 2022 film Batman, With director Matt Reeves The Sopranos Terence Winter was working on a TV spinoff focusing on the Gotham City Police Department. Over time, the show seemed to evolve to focus on Arkham Asylum, a major Batman setting, but no news of it has been heard for two years. Now, it appears the show may not be coming to fruition, at least not in the form originally proposed to the public.

This version of the show was rejected, but media outlets have since confirmed that another series focusing on the Asylum and Gotham elite could be on the way. After James Gunn and Peter Safran became the new heads of DC Films, Gunn said the Arkham series would BatmanPerhaps that will be the case even if a new version of the series comes out. Batman –But the show isn’t off the table for TV, as a spinoff focusing on the Colin Farrell classic “Penguin” stars in his own titular series. The Hollywood Reporter The series will begin airing on September 8. Battinson said, Batman Part II (again directed by Reeves) is currently scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.
